From intern to design leader.

With over 10 years of experience, I have been lucky enough to work in a lot of different types of design teams. I started the first half of my career exploring the world of design and ad agencies before I switched my focus to being a product designer and leader.

Leading 5 product squads for Handshake’s end to end events, massaging, large scale communication, and the creation of user generated content tools. I lead a total of 5 product designers and a content designers. Partner with the VP of Product to help create long-term vision for the squads along with c-suite stakeholder management. In the last year my team has launched new experiences such as, student check-ins at in-person career fairs, complex meeting scheduling, updates to marketplace inbox tools, and updating the most highly trafficked paid tooling.

Leading a small team of product designers and a content strategist to up-level our consumer brand and product. Students don't always know what the right next step for them to take, we are building a platform that helps guide them. Invested time recruiting to grow my team from 1 designer to 4 designers.

Made wireframes and design concepts for multiple clients. I was able to meet face to face with clients and present my work. Sequence is a smaller company full of extremely intelligent people. I grew so much as a designer, presenter and general thinker during this internship.

Worked with a small team of designers and developers to make beautiful experiences for a number of clients. I worked on everything from concepting motion pieces and story boarding, to designing mobile experiences, to flash banner campaigns, to working in Cinema 4d. While working closely with the top designers and the development team, I learned a lot about the process of designing, and the process to make those designs real experiences.

Collaborated with designers on various projects, designing Flash and HTML websites, exploring decorative typefaces for a western themed site, and creating educational courses in Flash. Additionally, contributed to an interactive experience for a 1970s RV called MARV, which interviewed students at colleges nationwide.
